Superyacht designer Andrew Winch started in Jon Banneberg’s pioneering yacht design studio in 1980 having been mentored by the legendary designer as a student. After six years, Winch set out on his own, forming Andrew Winch Designs in 1986 with his wife, Jane. In 2015 the firm was re-branded as Winch Design.
Andrew Winch Design, specialising in the interior and exterior design of both sailing and motor custom superyachts, the Winch Design studio in London now employs more than 50 people covering not only interior design and superyacht exterior styling but also private jets and land-based architecture. With projects ranging from small sailboats to 100 metre-plus superyachts, Andrew Winch remains one of the world’s foremost custom yacht designers.
Alongside interior design and exterior styling for luxury yachts and yacht refits, the Winch Design team also designs superyacht tenders and other elements. Winch has collaborated with several other famous designers including Tim Heywood, Philippe Briand and De Voogt Naval Architects and the studio has won a large number of awards.
